Every year, the Batavia Fireworks Committee and the Flag Day Committee join together to celebrate Flag Day with a good old fashioned Ice Cream Social. Each year we have hosted different events for the whole family to enjoy.
This year we will be having our first “Tributes and Wishes Ceremony” as we launch 102 floating luminaries on the Depot Pond to commemorate the 102nd anniversary of Flag Day. Purchase your floating lantern for $5, customize it with wishes or dedications to a veteran or loved one, and set it out onto our beloved Depot Pond as the sun sets over our town. Lanterns can be purchased in advance online via Pay Pal and picked up at the event. Any remaining lanterns will be available for purchase on the day of the event.

- Some of Batavia’s favorite food vendors will be serving up dinner for you and your family!
- Musical performances from various Batavia student groups, performers, and more!
- Games for kids of all ages!
- Winners of the Paint the Town Red, White, and Blue contest to be announced.
- Tribute and Wishes Ceremony as the Batavia Community Band plays our favorite patriotic songs.
